The Pololu 3pi+ 2040 Robot - Hyper Edition (15:1 HPCB Motors), Assembled is a high-performance mobile platform that is powered by the Raspberry Pi RP2040 MCU. This robot is equipped with dual quadrature encoders that facilitate closed-loop speed and position control. It also features line sensors, front bump sensors, and a comprehensive IMU that includes a 3-axis accelerometer, magnetometer, gyro, and a graphical OLED display. The Hyper Edition of this robot is assembled with high-speed 15:1 HPCB 6V Micro Metal Gearmotors, making it a challenging device to control and prone to damage from impacts. Therefore, it is recommended solely for advanced users. This edition also comes with a spare 15:1 gearbox.
The 3pi+ 2040 Robot is a versatile, user-programmable device that is compact in size, measuring only 9.7 cm in diameter. It is powered by a Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller, a 32-bit dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ processor that operates at 125 MHz. This robot can be programmed using C++, Arduino, or Python and comes with 16 MB of flash memory preloaded with a MicroPython interpreter. For those who wish to customize or enhance their robots with additional peripherals, the power rails, power system controls, and microcontroller’s I/O lines can be accessed via several 0.1-inch-pitch expansion ports.
