General Motors originally introduced the Impala under the Chevrolet Bel Air branding but such was its appeal and different look, it became a brand in its own right, fittingly so as the company celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 1958. The Impala came as a 2-door hard top or convertible.
This Impala Sports Coupé appears with hood up in a bright red with silver trim. The interior is also moulded in bright red. The Chevrolet badge sits on the front edge of the bonnet and also on the boot lid. The famous two crossed flags and the leaping Impala emblem also feature on the sides of the car towards the wrap around window edge. Further external trim includes the whitewall tyres with red centre and the model is registered on Rhode Island as AM 992.l
